Following the decision of the URBACT II Monitoring Committee on 14th November 2011, the 3rd and last URBACT Call for Proposals is now open for the creation of up to 19 new Thematic Networks. The Call is open from 9th December 2011 until 15th March 2012.
On 19th December the Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Edmunds Sprūdžs participated in the European Union (hereinafter-EU) Environment Council (hereinafter-Council).
Since 2007 more than 70 urban development projects of development centers of national and regional importance were implemented by the financial support of the European Regional Development fund (ERDF). Total amount of the signed project contracts is 171.8 million lats.
On 19th December the Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Edmunds Sprūdžs will represent Latvia in the final European Union (hereinafter-EU) Environment Council (hereinafter- Council) in Brussels ( Belgium).
AQUAFIMA – „Integrating Aquaculture and Fisheries Management towards a sustainable regional development in the Baltic Sea Region“ project proposal was approved by the Baltic Sea Region Transnational Cooperation Programme committee in June, 2011.
