On 15th March, within the framework of the bathing season opening event, the handing ceremony of the Blue Flags took place in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (hereinafter - the Ministry) will participate in the European Union (hereinafter - EU) Garden Festival – 2012 held on 12th May, in Vērmanes Garden.
On 16th March during the Creativity Award Ceremony- Sigulda, Salacgrīva and Rūjiena Local Governments were announced as the most creative municipalities in Latvia by adopting creative and unique solutions in their daily work.
On 14th March the Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Mr. Edmunds Sprūdžs signed the Protocol of Intent (hereinafter- POI) during ongoing Creativity Week. The aim of POI is to develop the creativity potential in Latvia, promoting its usage in the development of national economy and welfare of a society.
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Mr. Sprūdžs represented Latvia in EU Environment Council (hereinafter- Council) in Brussels (Belgium).
