Complementary actions

Programme Operators within European Economic Area Grants (hereinafter – EEA Grants) programmes have an opportunity to participate and organize experience exchange actions with other EEA Grants Beneficiary States and Donor States. Experience exchange could promote achievement of better results of the Programmes and strengthen bilateral relations between Beneficiary States and Donor States. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development as Programme’s “National Climate Policy” Operator is planning to participate and organize experience exchange actions between countries and institutions that have similar programmes related to climate change and adaptation to climate change - Portugal, Hungary, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland.

Complementary actions contribute to the objectives of the programme with the primary aim of:
(a) strengthening co-operation between the Programme Operators and similar entities within the Beneficiary States and Donor States;
(b) exchanging experiences and best practices related to the implementation of the programme.
