In 2021, a waltz of the European Union, in line with the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Marine Spatial Planning Framework (2014/89/ES), should be closer to approving and implementing its maritime plans, and therefore it is legitimate that the fourth international Baltic Sea Spatial Planning Forum slogan is the “Transfer of the Marine Spatial Plan for Implementation” and capacity capacity at all levels'.

Marine spatial planning is an ecosystem-based approach and coordination between existing and new marine and coastal uses. . It is one of the key elements of the European Union's long-term strategy for blue growth a. Obviously, maritime spatial planning will also need to be in line with the European Green on Climate Neutrality.

THE VASAB Secretariat and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development are the leading partners in the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme projects: Capacity4MSP and Land-Sea-Act. The Forum will be organised in the form of a closing conference between the two projects, which will promote the results and discuss their application at the level of the Baltic Sea region.

An international forum will be held online and will be broadcast from Riga.
