In Latvia for the registration of State Information Systems (SIS) there is created the State Information Systems Register (SISR), in which is stored data on the national information systems, technical resources, administrators, etc. SISR provides a broad and comprehensive interoperability of national information systems, coordinating the development of the SIS and improving availability of public information. SISR provides information to natural and legal persons on the data contained in the registers, as well as to system developers and organizations that integrates the SIS. In SISR there are registered about 170 national information systems.
