The European Union (EU)-funded NOBID pilot project, which developed a prototype EU Digital Identity Wallet (EDIM) in Latvia, has concluded. The EU Digital Identity Wallet will be a mobile electronic identification tool that will allow citizens to digitally store identity documents such as driving licences or education documents, control personal data in detail when submitting them to different service providers, confirm their identity and make payments in a secure way.
